Andrew Manavi Sekar
Age: 18
Andrew hails from San Rafael, California, an affluent town in Marin County. He woke up one morning in a military base off the coast of Los Angeles, and has been steadily working his way northward ever since.

Adam Young
Age: 22
Before the plague hit, Adam was a cultural studies major at UCLA looking forward to his final year as an undergraduate. He lost his right eye in one of the massive riots that engulfed the heart of Los Angeles during the peak of the plague's spread.

Dr. Madeleine Scott
Age: 45
Dr. Scott was a plastic surgeon in Santa Monica engaged in a clinical trial for a facial arresting injection drug. Since the plague, she's dedicated herself to tracking down the many brain-damaged survivors unique to Santa Monica.

Bethany Carver
Age: 23
Beth is a hallucination.

Savi Manavi
Age: 53
Savi is Andrew's mother.

Derik Johnson
Age: 33
Derik is one of Dr. Scott's assistants. He spends most of his time collecting Santa Monican survivors for her, hoping to find his wife.

"Vanessa"
Age: ?
Not a zombie. Vanessa is one of many Santa Monican survivors suffering massive brain tumors as a side effect of a cosmetics drug trial run by Dr. Scott before the plague. Recently "rescued" by Derik.

Meredith
Age: 28
A not-zombie, recently cognizant thanks to Dr. Scott. Meredith is the first of the Santa Monican drug trial participants to regain higher brain functions after the plague.
